Each year our PTA spends over $30,000 on the programs that make Stenwood the thriving, fun, and unique school community that we all love. Help the Hive is the primary way that we fund these programs.

Help the Hive is a direct giving campaign – meaning you donate directly to the PTA, and 100% of your money stays with the PTA for the benefit of the school. This direct giving approach allows our parents and students to focus on building and enjoying our school community – NOT fundraising.

Retail Fundraisers

Many Small Contributions Make a BIG Impact

Each academic year, Stenwood Elementary School earns more than a thousand dollars through families’ shopping! Just sign up your shopping cards at the following retail stores. These programs are NO COST TO YOU and earn LOTS OF MONEY FOR OUR KIDS simply by doing your normal shopping. Any questions or if you know of any other retailers that we can sign up, please contact our VP of Development.


Box Tops for Education - No more clipping. No more sending Box Tops to school. All you need is your phone. Download the ALL-NEW Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then simply scan your store receipts to find participating products. The app will automatically credit your school's Box Tops earnings online. Twice a year, your school will receive a check and can use that cash to buy whatever it needs!


Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program gives schools a chance to earn funds when you link your VIC card and shop Harris Teeter brands. There are NO LIMITS to how much a school can earn. Don't forget - All VIC cards must be linked yearly!

Silver Diner Eat Well Do Well Card - Every time you eat at the Silver Diner, 5% of your food bill will be donated to our school. Please make sure your Silver Diner Eat Well Do Well card is linked to Stenwood. It only takes a minute at www.silverdiner.com/eat-well-do-well. If you don't have a card you can pick one up at the Silver Diner, or request that one be mailed to you through the previous link.

Square 1 Art

The Square 1 Art program allows you to have your child’s very own artwork reproduced onto a great selection of quality products. These products range from magnets, mugs and mouse pads to t-shirts, tote bags and tiles. The wide selection of professionally produced, full color products offers something for everyone, and they make memorable gifts for any occasion.

Ordering available all year

Missed the December shipping deadline? Not to worry - Square 1 Art is available to order all school year long. Get your greeting cards, charms, tote bags, tiles and more! Items ship to your home ~2 weeks after order. 

Ordering Items:

  • Ask your child for their Square 1 art project they completed in class (or they can pick their favorite artwork, just make sure it is on the Square 1 Art template).

  • Take a photo of their artwork (see tips for getting best photo possible).

  • Upload to the Square 1 Art site.

  • Shop for items featuring your child's art and earn money for our Art department.

​Proceeds from the Square 1 Arts program directly support the purchase of supplies for the Art department at Stenwood Elementary.
